The ALIA Graphic Notables List for 2024 has been announced!
This is the fifth year ALIA Graphic have published our Notables List and for the first time a panel of judges made the selections for the final list. These judges are all library workers who put up their hand to be involved because of their love of comics and we want to thank them for their work – they have helped to ensure this recognition is as representative of the library industry as possible.
A couple of weeks ago we were excited to publish the longlist, which you can find here. The longlist showcases the stunning work being done by Australian comics creators both here in Australia and for international markets. All the titles on the longlist are in a format that is friendly to library collection policies.
The ALIA Graphic Notables List for 2024 is divided into three categories: Junior, Young Adult, and Adult; with each category recognising those works that had an extra something that wowed the judges and made them stand out amongst all the high quality works of the longlist.
Congratulations to everyone involved in once again making the ALIA Graphic Notables List possible: the judges and all the work they do, ALIA and the support they provide, the ALIA Graphic committee who coordinate the award, and of course the creators who keep publishing such incredible works!
